I know from my own experience the power of having a space where you don’t have to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or have it all figured out.

I believe our minds, bodies, and emotions are deeply connected. When life feels overwhelming or painful, our nervous systems adapt to help us survive.

Sometimes those adaptations show up as anxiety, perfectionism, difficulty slowing down, emotional numbness, or even physical symptoms such as chronic tension, digestive concerns, or persistent pain. Rather than seeing these responses as something that’s “wrong,” I see them as signs that your nervous system has been working incredibly hard to protect you.

Together, we’ll slow things down enough to understand your story, make sense of patterns that may no longer be serving you, and create experiences of safety, connection, and self-compassion that support lasting change.

I was raised in a Scottish household, so I tend to approach life with a practical, no-nonsense perspective and a healthy dose of humour. At the same time, I believe deeply in tenderness. Therapy, to me, is about holding both: being honest about what’s not working while creating space for the parts of you that need care, understanding, and time.

My path into counselling hasn’t been linear. Along the way, I’ve worked in nutrition, yoga teaching, journalism, communications, and leadership coaching. Each of these experiences has shaped how I show up as a counsellor and deepened my appreciation for the many ways people navigate stress, identity, relationships, performance, and life’s challenges.

My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each person. I draw from attachment-based and polyvagal perspectives alongside Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, and parts-based approaches. I integrate evidence-based practices while trusting that you already carry insight, resilience, and wisdom. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from yourself, navigating anxiety, grief, burnout, relationship challenges, chronic stress, neurodivergence, or a major life transition, my hope is to offer a space where you feel genuinely seen, supported, and accepted and are able to access ways of moving through life with greater flexibility, self-compassion, and connection.
